Dot2Dot

The"About Me" section  includes a picture of 2 dogs on Halloween. It is quite misleading, but fun.Click the picture to enlarge it, then try to determine which one is on the porch and which is indoors.....also which is actually on the leash. This is a good example of our need for attention to detail. Artists use their observations to inform their creative process. Some of the best have used deceptive viewpoint to involve visual tension in their work. People enjoy masterpieces that have been truly successful with this approach. The angle of composition can draw the viewer into the piece and allow the mind to form different reactions than when seeing the subject as normally expected.
This is a photo of our favorite pet Dot. She was our Dalmatian for 8 years. The little dog belongs to a family member. Dot's full name was Dot2Dot Carson.( She had a gray dot in the middle of her nose with a black dot in the center of that.) We couldn't find a last minute Halloween costume for her,but she enjoyed herself, anyway. When the little black dog in the orange and black witch's outfit made a visit, Dot was very intrigued. Her tail was wagging bigtime and she wanted out in the worst way!
Dot was inside looking out through the storm door at the terrier who was on the leash with Kristle standing behind her. The angle of the door in the shot contributed to the overall composition. This is a favorite photo and is on our pc's desktop. It helps us to remember her at her best.
