Church Mural

The mural is titled "He is the Vine,We are the Branches". It is located at our church in Arkansas City,Kansas;Redeemer Lutheran. Click the photo to see the work at various viewpoints and progress.It is in the Sunday School area ,leading to the Fellowship Hall. My inspiration for it was my volunteer teaching for Developmentally Disabled Adult classes: Thursday School and Truth Talk.
I included young people from many nationalities ,as well as several to represent my students. They are streaming from many directions toward Jesus,who is in the foreground. On the wall opposite the mural is an accompanying one which further emphasizes the title of the main mural. This is done with an open Bible and a meandering vine with Bible verses pertinent to the Main mural. Beside the vine section is a scroll painting that provides the provenance for the hallway mural art's purpose. The many countries (from which the young mural people are coming to Jesus) are documented . The source material for the authenticity of the attire of each young person is given,as well.
The hallway art is described there as for the benefit of the church classes,the Thursday ministry, the congregation, and as praise to our Lord.
